This fascinating deck opens forgotten doors in the darkest corners of the psyche, those doors hidden in the shadows and engulfed in spider webs.
To open those doors can mean gaining knowledge of our own fears and our own dark side whilst learning how it can balance our whole being.
In those chambers, beyond the darkness, is where creativity is often imprisoned like and exiled deity.
Beautifully illustrated by Michele Penco, The cards depict nightmarish images of fantastical creatures that lurk in the shadows and in the backs of our thoughts.
This, combined with the familiar structure of the deck (Major and Minor Arcanas - Wands, Chalices, Pentacles and Swords), provides an extraordinary journey into the deepest recesses of the unconscious.
Dark Grimoire Tarot takes its name from the books of magic, the grimoires, both real and imaginary that promise knowledge and power for those brave enough to use them.
This deck assumes that the tarot itself is a grimoire, a book that throws light onto the darkness of the psyche and reveals that which has hidden allowing it to be hidden in the concious mind.
The deck includes a detailed manual with intricate analysis of each card and its place within the realm of the dark grimoire.
